Memory:

Some of the best teachers during the 1973-74 to 1976-77 era: Carla Webster, Nikki Curris Locklear, Norma Shaw, Charles Jaynes, Lucia Hay; Pat Looney; Coach Taylor; Rita Risco; Rosemary Wolfe; Alice McKenna; Robert Cotter (although not a personal instructor, his influence on LHS will never be forgotten during the Band of Gold's golden era)--to name just a few. The mid-70s faculty was solid in general, and I have a great deal of gratitude for having gone to Largo High when it was considered one of the better Pinellas County schools. Even over thirty years later, I still have great memories of attending LHS as a student. I even got to sub and teach there for a short time myself before becoming a member of the faculty at Pinellas Park High School in 1986-87. My English, journalism, creative writing and drama teachers directly influenced my decision to become a teacher myself. Lots of great memories of being on the Packer Press and Kaleidoscope staffs, as well as the Troupe 911 Drama/Thespian organization.
